We’ve all seen the official meme of this year’s summer Olympics: A picture of scowling U.S. gymnast McKayla Maroney with a silver medal draped around her neck. To be fair, the 16-year-old was probably more upset about her performance than about a second place finish.

Still, her expression has taken on a life of its own.
